First Baptist Church Hudson (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of individuals who use the Hudson First mobile application (the “App”), app identifier org.hudsonfirst.app.

Device and App Information

The App or its service providers may automatically receive certain technical information necessary to operate, maintain, and secure the App, such as device type, operating system, app version, and technical information associated with your use of the App.

2. Member Directory

Hudson First includes a church member directory. Information displayed in the directory may include information that members have provided to the church or have authorized the church to make available through the App.

The member directory is intended for church-related purposes and communication among members and participants of First Baptist Church Hudson.

We ask users not to copy, distribute, sell, or otherwise misuse information obtained through the member directory.

The Hudson First App does not intentionally collect or track your precise location.

6. Children and Teenagers

The Hudson First App is primarily intended for members, families, and participants of First Baptist Church Hudson.

Children and minors may occasionally use the App, particularly in connection with student or family ministry. We do not intentionally use the App to solicit personal information from children.

First Baptist Church Hudson uses One Church to host and provide the Hudson First App and its associated services.

Information submitted through the App may therefore be stored, processed, or transmitted through One Church and other service providers necessary to provide App functionality, including services related to account management, communications, online giving, hosting, security, and technical support.

These third parties may have their own privacy policies and terms governing their handling of information.

  • Provide App functionality (Membership Directory)

  • Process donations and payments

  • Operate, maintain, and secure the App

  • Communicate with church members and participants

  • Protect the rights, safety, and property of First Baptist Church Hudson, our users, or others

We do not sell or rent personal information for advertising or marketing purposes.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect your information. When Users  submit information via the app or our website, the information is secured both on and offline using standard industry practices.

Sensitive information, such as payment data, is encrypted and transmitted in a secure manner. Before submitting sensitive data, Users should verify that they are using a secure web browser by checking for a closed lock icon on the bottom of the browser or by ensuring the web address of the page begins with “https”. Information accessed by First Baptist Church employees and One Church Software employees is limited to that which is necessary to carry out the job function for which such information was provided.

Messages transmitted through messaging features are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption. Message content is stored on One Church servers and is subject to standard data security practices.

10. Data Retention

We generally retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide church services, maintain appropriate church records, process and document donations, comply with legal or financial obligations, resolve disputes, and otherwise fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and the circumstances under which it was collected.

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may contact us to:

  • Request removal or updating of information displayed in the member directory

When you use the App to make a donation, transaction information may be retained as necessary for church accounting, financial reporting, tax documentation, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.

First Baptist Church Hudson does not require or intend for users to provide payment information directly to church staff through ordinary communications such as email. Users should use the designated giving functionality within the App or other official giving channels.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our App, services, or legal requirements change.

When we make changes, we may update the “Effective Date” at the beginning of this Privacy Policy and, when appropriate, provide additional notice through the App or other church communications.
