Plan a Visit

At Hudson First, we want you to make your first visit to our church the best that it can be. We want you to be able to experience the friendly people, enjoyable atmosphere and meaningful worship that we experience every Sunday. You probably have some questions, so we've tried to answer some of them.

  • What should I wear?

We're more concerned with meeting your real life needs than about what you wear. We have a diverse congregation, so you will feel comfortable in your “Sunday best” or dressed casually.

  • Will I be "singled out" since I'm visiting?

No. You won’t be asked to stand, or raise your hand or introduce yourself. You’re sure to be greeted and welcomed by one of our Greeters and lots of other people because they will be glad that you’ve come. We would like to know that you’ve come, so you’ll be given the opportunity to fill out a Guest Card. We know what it’s like to go to a new place, filled with lots of people, so we want you to feel free to “check us out” without being singled out.

  • What's the worship service like?

We believe that praise and worship has the power to speak to the heart and that God is worthy of our praise, so our worship focuses on Him. We have two morning worship services, and their styles are completely different. The 10:15am service meets in our Life Center, and the style is casual and contemporary. The praise in that service is led by our praise band and employs stage lights, two large screens for words, and a relaxed atmosphere.

The 9am service meets in our sanctuary and is more traditional in flavor. Our music is a blend of traditional hymns and newer songs of praise, accompanied by the organ and piano and led by our outstanding choir. We also project the words onto a large screen for ease in viewing.

  • What about the message?

We believe that the Bible really is God's true and inspired Word and contains His answers to our questions. Our messages focus on real life issues so that you can get something on Sunday that will help you on Monday: in your family, your work, your friendship, and your struggles.

  • Will I be asked to give money?

Absolutely Not! As our guest, we don't want you to give your money. An offering will be taken, but it is for those who are a part of the Hudson First family and believe in our mission and causes.

  • What about my kids?

We currently provide a quality nursery and a kids worship during our 10:15 AM service. You will see our check in station in the parking lot outside the entrance to our kids area!
